Dr. Deborah Collins, BSR, MD, CCFP, FCFP, Dip Sport Med
Dr. Collins is a Sport Medicine Physician and Medical Advisor at WorkSafeBC. She obtained an undergraduate degree in Rehabilitation Medicine (Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy), and subsequently completed a medical degree, followed by a family practice residency. In 1996, she obtained a diploma in Sport Medicine through the Canadian Academy of Sport and Exercise Medicine.
Dr. Collins’ experience with WorkSafeBC began in 1994 at the Rehabilitation Centre in Richmond. Following the Centre's closure in 2002, she did MARP assessments for many years at LifeMark Health Centre. Her current work as a Medical Advisor at WorkSafeBC involves mainly trauma claims.
